Employee was on dredge assembling dredge pump. Employee was balancing suction side plate and liner assembly while attempting to attach to chain fall. Employee lost his balance and lost grip on the plate. He started moving away from the falling plate and tripped on a shield that was behind him. The plate fell and pinched his right thigh between the shield and the plate.

EE WALKED INTO THE AREA WHERE A 16"" PIPE WAS BEING DRUG INTO POSITION. THE PIPE WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND WITH A 90 DEGREE ELBOW POINTING UP. WHEN THE PIPE WAS MOVED THE ELBOW ROTATED HITTING T HE EE IN THE FOOT AND ANKLE.
