Struck by falling object

Employee was cutting metal out of a pile when the piece he was cutting on started to fall towards the front of his service truck. Employee grabbed the piece of metal to prevent it from hitting his truck and the metal sliced through his glove and cut his 5th digit on his right hand. He recieved 4 stiches and returned to duty.

EMPLOYEE STATED HE HAD TAKEN OFF HIS SAFETY GLASSES TO BETTER POSITION HIMSELF TO PUT HOSE ON UNDER LOADER WHEN HE FELT SOMETHING IN HIS EYE. HE DID NOT REPORT INJURY UNTIL JULY 23, 2002.

HE WAS CLIMBING UP LADDER TO GET INTO LOADER WHEN HE SLIPPED DUE TO MUDDY BOOT AND FELL TO GROUND. HE LANDED ON HIS HEELS CAUSING JOLT TO KNEES.
