The loaded Dump truck drive was driving off the weight scale platform when EE failed to negotiate the right turn after coming off the scale. When the front right wheel contacted the guiderail, the steering wheel spun violently and caught the drivers right thumb inside the rotating steering wheel, causing a fracture of the right thumb at the first knuckle.

EE has missed many days of work in the past 3 yrs, health and heart related. He is on heart and diabetic medications. He is assigned to the least strenuous job. We insure he has plenty of break and refreshment periods as he wants them. The conditions that lead to him fainting while on a break are unknown. Low potassium may have contributed. He is full duty 5am 7/25/2011
