EMPLOYEE WAS OPERATING A DUMP TRUCK DUMPING TOPSOIL ON WASHES ON THIS BACKFILLED SURFACE MINE SITE. AT THE SITE OF THE WASH, THE TRUCK'S ENGINE STALLED-QUIT AND BEGAN TO CAREEN BACKWARDS DOWN A STEEP SLOPE AND STOPPED AFTER HITTING TREES. THE OEPRATOR SUFFERED A HAIRLINE FRACTURE TO A BONE IN HIS UPPER BACK AND BRUISED HIS MED-BACK.
