Contact with hot objects or substances

Employee was burning garbage in the burn pit when he used gasoline to get the fire going. The fuel was laying on a piece of plastic and when he picked it up to throw it in the fire it came back burning his hand and forearm.

The employee was holding the front edge of a 1x2x1 stone on the snap veneer machine. When the teeth snapped the stone the stone jumped and threw employee's hand into the teeth as it was continuing downward lacerating the first joint of his thumb and also breaking it.

Employee tried to dislodge stone from conveyor while machine was running. Lost part of her pinkie finger.

Employee was resting his hand on the edge of the tumbler, stone came out and broke his finger. Did not notify company until 2/25/08 when he wanted to go to the doctor.

Employee was chiseling stone, hit chisel and a piece of metal flew off and lodged in his left hand which was down at his side.

Employee was kneeling down chiseling end of stone cube when his upper left arm was pinched between the two stone cubes.

Employee was picking up an 8""x8'x2"" thick tread with another employee to place on the tread saw. The piece had to be flipped over and in the process of flipping it the other employee dropped his end which fell to the floor causing employee's finger to be slammed on the edge of the saw table between the tread and the table edge.

Employee was disassembling and moving metal framed building. He turned to move away from the frame to lay it down. Fell to the ground in pain.

Two employees were moving stone from pallet. When they lifted stone, several other stones that were on the pallet fell hitting one employee's left thumb.

Employee was moving the top piece of stone on a pallet to center it (it looked to him like it was going to fall). When he moved it, his thumb was pinched between the top piece of stone and the stone directly under it. His thumb was crushed, the nail is partially ripped off and there was a laceration requiring 5 stitches.

EE was using recut saw to cut veneer corners. After making the first cut, he turned the stone and pushed against the blade to make the cut.The stone broke and his hand continued foward into the blade.

Employee was operating a recut saw at a table. He was resting his right hand on the table when he moved the bar that pushes the stone. He pinched the middle finger of his right hand between the bar and the edge of the table. The tip of his finger was cut off.

Employee was helping to load pallets of stone on flatbed. He placed his hand on the trailer while bending down to fix his shoe. A 2nd employee set a pallet of stone on his hand. When he felt the pallet come down, he pulled his hand out from under. The pallet lacerated his finger and pulled off the nail. He had abrasions on another finger. He received 3 stitches.

Employee was thermalling edges of 2x3 stone. The stones were standing on edge and they fell and hit his right knee inside lacerating his right leg beside the knee.

Employee was pulling stone across saw table onto rollers and caught his thumb between the stone and the guide rail which resulted in a laceration of his thumb on his right hand. The employee received 7 stitches.

Employee was carrying a tread, tripped on the forklift forks and fell backwards. The tread fell on his ring finger.

EE WAS WALKING ON RAILS OF TRAILER STRAPPING LOAD WHEN HE FELL OFF THE TRAILER LANDING ON THEGROUND.

WAS MOVING LIQUID OXYGEN CYLINDER AWAY FROM WORK STATION BY TILTING AND ROLLING. THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK HUNG UP ON A ROCK AND KICKED OUT COMING DOWN ON LEFT LEG LEAVING A LACERATION ON LOWER L EG.

SMALL CRACK IN HOSE TO TORCH CAUSED TORCH TO EXPLODE BURNING EMPLOYEE IN STOMACH. IMMEDIATELY EXTINGUISHED.
