Reinstalling master pin on 850L, using sledgehammer to seat track pin. Metal from the pin fragmented and embedded in the left calf. Initial medical treatment was unable to remove fragment - referred to surgeon for removal. Was prescribed Bactrim and Mupirocin. EE returned to work on 8/11/23 with restrictions. EE had a follow up appointment with the general surgeon on 8/13/23.

EE WAS REPAIRING TOP ROLLERS ON 235C. HE HAD A CHAIN FROM BUCKET TO TRACK TO PICK UP TRACK SO HE COULD PUT ROLLER IN PLACE. THE CHAIN SLIPPED MASHING HIS FINGERS BETW3EN TRACK RAIL & TOP ROLLE R. HE DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER BLOCKS TO HOLD THE TRACK UP IF IT SLIPPED.
EE WAS WORKING ON A USED PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. HE HAD A HOOD OPEN AND A HIGH WIND COME UP AND MADE THE HOOD FALL AND HIT EE IN THE HEAD, WHICH GAVE HIM A CONCUSSION.
