Removing scrap stone from hydraulic splitter, conveyor started and their glove got caught in conveyor belt and pulled left hand under belt.

He was carrying a 10 lb. stone from a conveyor belt to a pallet. When he stepped off the 3 inch platform, he heard and felt a ""pop"" on the left side of his spine. Within 30 min, he was experiencing pain and weakness in his back and left leg.

He was shrink wrapping pallets of stone, walking around the pallets and he caught his left calf (leg) on a stone from another pallet. He stopped work & went into 1st aid area, cleaned out wound, stopped bleeding - it was covered with a sterile dressing. He went to walk in clinic to get 3 stitches. Returned to work light duty.

Employee was mannually lifting a boulder to get it out of the way-he felt a pull or strain in his l groin area. set boulder down-felt pain when he stood up-trying to continue working but pain increased went to emergency room after he told supervisor what happened. possible l groin pull off 6-5-04.

EE WAS HAND-TRIMMING BEDFORD COPING STONE - 36"" X 20"" X 2 1/4"". PIECES WERE ON FLOOR SITTING ON A PALLET (WEIGHT APPROX. 50 - 70 LBS). EE WAS LIFTING STONE FROM PALLET WITH BOTH HANDS TO WAIST HEIGHT. DURING LIFT HE FELT A ""POP"" IN HIS SHOULDER (LEFT). INCREASED PAIN IN L. SHOULDER FOLLOWING ""POP"" DURING ANY MOVEMENT - STOPPED WORKING AFTER IT WOULDN'T STOP HURTING.
