MINERS WERE CHANGING OUT AN OLD DRAG CVABLE WITH A NEW ONE WHEN THE NEW CABLE WHICH WAS FASTENED IN THE SOCKET END AT THE BUCKET WHEN SUDDENLY THE CABLE SLIPPED OUT OF THE SOCKET AND RECOILED AND STRUCK THE OPERATOR WHO WAS STANDING OFF TO THE SIDE IN AND ACROSS HIS CHEST AREA.

THE BULLODOZER ENCOUNTERED A HYDRAULIC OIL LEAK ON THE LEFT CYLINDER. MINER CLIMBED UP ON THE MACHINE AND WHILE FORCING A WRENCH TO ALLOW A BOLT TO BE INSERTED, SLIPPED AND FELL TO THE GROUND STRIKING HIS KNEE ON THE PUSH ARM OF THE DOZER.
