Bonnell Sand & Gravel · Fall onto or against objects

THE MINE WAS REPLACING A 30" BELT ON THE RIP RAP CONVEYOR. THE INJURED MINER ACCESSED THE CONVEYOR ON THE BACK OF THE STOCKPILE WHERE IT MEETS THE CONVEYOR STAND. WHILE TRYING TO GUIDE THE NEW BELT SPLICE OVER THE STAND FRAME & RETURN ROLLER HE FELL HEADFIRST FROM A HEIGHT OF ABOUT 32" DOWN THE BACK OF THE STOCKPILE STRIKING HIS HEAD AT THE STOCKPILE TOE.

IT WAS MUDD LOADER OPERATOR SLIPPED WHILE CLIMBING DOWN STEPS FROM LOADER. HE SKINNED HIS ELBOW. ONT HE NIGHT OF AUG 2 WHILE TAKING A SHOWER HE NOTICED HE HAD RED STREAKS RUNNING UP ARM. DR SAID HE HAD BLOOD POSIONING IN ARM.
