ALL MINING WAS HALTED WHILE A HIGHWALL SHOT WAS DETONATED ALL ROADS AND ACCESS TO THE AREA WAS BLOCKED WHEN THE SHOT WAS DETONATED A SMALL PIECE OF FLYROCK ONE IN DIAMTER HIT A SCRAPER OPERATO R IN THE NECK. THE SCRAPER WERE PARRED 4 TO 5 HUNDRED FEET SOUTH OF THE SHOT.

INJURED STEPPED DOWN FROM THE LAODER HE WAS OPERATING. HIS FOOT SLIPPED BETWEEN THE PLATFORM AND THE LAODER STEP AND HE TWISTED HIS ANKLE. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE PERRY COUNTY HOSPITAL. DIAGNOI SIS WAS BROKEN ANKLE.
