EE TOOK GUARD OFF TO SCRAPE RETURN ROLLER WITH SHOVEL. THE RETURN ROLLER GRABBED THE SHOVEL AND PULLED EE'S HAND AND FOREARM INTO ROLLER. HE HAD MULTIPLE ABRASIONS ON LEFT FOREARM AND CUT ON FINGERTIP. ANOTHER EE REPORTED ACCIDENT.

CLEARLY BY EVIDENCE AT THE SCENE, EE ELECTED TO MOVE A GUARD & GRAB A PIECE OF OLD BELT NEARBY & MOUNT IT ON THE MOVING BELT CONVEYOR TO PUT EXCESS SAND BACK ON THE CONVEYOR RATHER THAN HAVING IT FALL TO THE GROUND WHERE HE WOULD HAVE TO SHOVEL IT. THE BELT GOT CAUGHT UP IN THE ROLLER & BEFORE HE COULD GET HIS HAND OUT HE GOT CAUGHT IN THE ROLLER THEN REACHED WITH THE OTHER HAND.
