EMPLOYEE WAS RAISING A CONTROL SWITCH PANEL FROM PILOT HOUSE OF BOAT & LET IT DROP TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. IT FELL ABOUT 2" & THE AIR FROM IT DROPPING SENT A PIECE OF SAND INTO HIS EYE. THE SAND CAME OUT BUT IT SCRATCHED THE EYE AND THE EYE LATER BECAME INFECTED.

EMPLOYEE WAS LOADING TRUCKS THAT DAY WIT A WHEEL LOADER, HE WAS NOT VERY BUSY AND HE DECIDED TO BURN A BRUSH PILE. HE PUT SOME GAS ON THE PILE AND SET THE GAS CAN DOWN BEHIND HIM, THEN LIT TH E PILE AS IT STARTED TO BURN, HE STEPPED BACK AND KNOCKED OVER THE GAS CAN. IT SPILLED A PUDDLE OF GAS, AND HE PICKE DUP THE CAN AND MOVED IT FUTHER AWAY FROM THE FIRE. AS HE WS COMING BACK

EE WAS CARRYING A 60 LB (APPROX.) WATER PUMP TO A BARGE SO HE COULD PUMP OUT WATER LEAKAGE. ABOUT 1 HOUR LATER, EE COMPLAINED OF GROIN AREA PAIN, SUCH AS A HERNIA TO HIS SUPERVISOR. SUPERVISOR ADVISED EMPLOYEE TO GO TO HOSPITAL. EMPLOYEE WENT AND NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND BUT WAS ADVISED TO LEEAVE WORK FOR 3 DAYS. EMPLOYEE WENT TO DR ON 7-15-96 AND WAS DIAGNOSED AS A BACK SPRAIN. OFF WOR
