A lightning strike 1/2 mile from Emigrant CIC plant initiated a small wild land fire. This location is within the POO boundary of the Emigrant mine site. As this fire was small, the location was quite inaccessible and before the MERT members that had been dispatched to Emigrant for an unrelated event could access the fire an air attack plane extinguished the fire.

Employee was sitting in service truck and twisted to the right to reach for hard hat that was in between the seats. Employee then twisted to the left to open the door and exit the service truck. Upon placing leg out the door felt lower back lock up and employee was unable to move.
While an employee was lifting a coolant surge tank, weighing 120 lbs, a portion of the rigging broke, causing the load to fall three inches and pinching left thumb. This resulted in an injury that required 6 stiches.
While using a chain come-along, to lower a rubber tire belly pan, the hooks became unhooked, causing the belly pan and come-along to free fall to the floor (1.5 ft). The employee's finger was pinched between the come-along and the concrete floor.
The operator of DZ 28 backed over a rock that was 1 foot above the grade of the floor. The unsuspected movement of the dozer aggravated a pre-existing medical condition in the employee's back.
The employee felt a pop in right shoulder while lifting personal backpack up on to the boarding platform of a haul truck. This injury resulted in a torn tendon in employee's right shoulder. This injury became reportable on 2/28/17

While an employee was installing a drive-line in a rubber tire dozer, EE felt a pop in EE's left bicep and experienced pain in the same arm. The diagnosis is a complete tendon tear.

Employee was using a razor knife to cut a slit in a corrugated 30" plastic pipe. He was pushing the knife away from him when the blade broke off and stuck in the pipe. His momentum made him fall forward and his arm went across the stuck blade causing a laceration.
Mechanics were welding on TD033 when a small grease fire started, fire watch was in position (drill operator), the mechanic then grabbed the fire extinguisher to put out the fire. When he shot the extinguisher the powder from the extinguisher blew back into the driller's face, at which point the driller inhaled some of the powder which triggered an asthma attack.
While operating impact gun removing bolts from wheel group on HT191, the air exhaust from the impact gun blew dirt into the technicians left eye. The employee was wearing safety glasses at the time of the event.
While navigating a left hand corner on the Rain access road a Caterpillar 735 articulating water truck over turned and caught on fire. / Damage to the tractor portion of this equipment.
Air freshener was spilled in the operators cab. While the operator was cleaning the spilled air freshener he inhaled some and this triggered an asthma attack.

While lifting tool box on to service truck employee felt a pop and then pain in his left shoulder.
Employee was diagnosed with a concussion and taken off work after a gate latch impacted the left side of his face.
When changing drill tooling on Track Drill 32, the drill operator placed the bushing fork into the flats of the 2 foot sub. While changing the down the hole hammer the bushing fork fell off the steel and hit the driller on top of his hand.
Employee was walking on drill pattern when he stepped on an area of ground that consisted of uneven frozen mud causing him to roll his ankle.
While driving a 789 haul truck the seat belt contacted the seat recline control causing the seat to unexpectedly recline.
While riding on crew bus from time shack to location of equipment in pit, the bus hit a bump.

Employee reported to management pain and numbness in his wrists and hands, he believes these to be related to a work related illness. He has noticed these symptoms getting progressively worse over the course of the last year-2 years. The symptoms were noticeably more pronounced after shifts where intense labor is performed.
As employee was sampling blast holes he went to scoop down on cuttings pile with his right hand and hit a large rock buried in pile, jarring his right wrist and elbow.
Employee was lifting grating into place and got his finger caught. When he pulled his finger free he noticed he had been cut. Employee received 12 sutures and returned to work full duty.
Employee had surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. Illness was progressing over last 20 years. Had surgery on 1-23-13, accident date is listed as same. Employee returned full duty on her next scheduled shift.

Employee was jostled in the cab of the equipment, straining his back. On 9-5-12, he was treated and returned full duty. On 9-17-2012, he sought further treatment and was classified as a lost time.
The Employee was swinging a hammer and the end of his Right little finger hit the edge of a metal flange, causing a laceration to the end of the little finger.
