Miner was repairing a torn belt using a utility knife. The knife slipped and punctured the top of miners right hand. No other conditions such as weather were a factor. Miner received three stitches, reported back to work the next workday.

Miner was attempting to get the tracks back onto a skid steer. While using wrenches, the zerk fitting broke, and employee's hand hit a drive sprocket. The impact caused a laceration and fractured employee's right pointer finger.

TWO MEN WERE REPAIRNING A GAVEL CHUTE ON THE WASH PLANT. IN ORDER ONE MAN TO WORK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CHUTE TWO PLANKS WERE PLACED ACROSS THE FRAME WORK OF THE WASHPLANT. ONE MAN WAS IN THE OPEN CHUTE, THE INJURED MAN WAS ON THE TWO PLANKS. HE SAID HE LAID HIS TOOLS ON ONE PLANK AND STOOD ON THE OTHER. THE ONE HE CHOSE TO STAND ON HAD A LARGE KNOT IN THE AREA WHERE IT BROKE.
RUN AWAY END LOADER, DOWN HILL NOT ABLE TO CONTROL. JUMPED BANK, WENT THROUGH STORAGE TRAILER AND PORTABLE GENERATOR, CAME TO REST UNDER CONVEYOR. MACHINE STAYED UPRIGHT. POSSIBLE SEVERE BACK INJURY. TAKEN TO RIDGES HOSPITAL, BURNSVILLE,MN.
