Employee was repairing lights on Utility trailer ( Pole ). While cutting cable ties that holds wiring harness, knife lacerated his 5th/ little finger on his left hand, resulting in finger receiving 3 stitches.

WHILE USING COPPER CABLE CUTTERS ON 350 MCM 3 CONDUCTOR CABLE THE EMPLOYEE HAD ONE HAND ON THE HANDLE ON THE GROUND. THE OTHER HE WAS PUSHING DOWN ON WITH A LOT OF PRESSURE & THE HANDLE SLIPPE D. HE HIT HIS LEFT ABDOMEN AROUND HIS RIB CAGE.

EE RETURNED TO WOR K WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS UNTIL SURGERY WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR OCT 15. AFTER SURGERY EE WILL BE PLACED ON LIGHT DUTY FOR 10 DAYS.
