EE REPORTED TO HIS FOREMAN THAT THERE WAS A POTENTIAL PROBLEM WITH THE GIRTH GEAR ON #3 KILN. FIRE WAS NOTICED & EXTINGUISHERS UTILIZED TO PUT OUT FIRE, BUT AFTER FIRE WAS NOT EXTINGUISHED IN 30 MIN, THE LOCAL FIRE DEPT WAS CALLED. THE FIRE DEPT PUT OUT THE FIRE WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.

OPERATOR WAS SHOOTING OUT SCAL RING IN #3 KILN, WHEN SOME OF THE MATERIAL BECAME LODGE IN THE FEEDER'S UNDERNEATH THE COOLING HOPPER OF #3 KILN. EES WORKED TO CLEAR BLOCKAGE, ONE OF THE SPRING S THAT SUPPORT FEEDER CAME LOOSE, ALLOWING FEEDER TO DROP DOWN & SPILL HOT SCAL ONTO BELT. AT THIS TIME THE BELT CAUGHT FIR (THE BELT IS HEAT RESISTANT TO 1000 DEGREES).
