EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING ON AUGER AND HE ENCOUNTERED ASLIPPERY SPOT ON CAT WALK CAUSING LEFT LEG TO SLIP BETWEEN BEAM AND CAT WALK. LEFT LEG WAS BRUISED SKINNED AND A KNOT BECAME EVIDENT ON SHIN. LEFT LEG WAS X-RAYED, WOUND CLEANSED AND DRESSED. EMPLOYEE WAS TOLD TO KEEP LEG ELEVATED AND APPLY ICE FOR THE REST OF DAY.
EMPLOYEE WASON AUGER AND OPERATING OVERHEAD CRANE (HOIST) WHEN IT MALFUNCTIONED AND SWUNG STEEL SIDE WAYS. STEEL MASHED LEFT HAND AGAINST POST ON BIT RACK WHICH HOLDS STEEL FROM OR FOR AUGER. STEEL AND POST ON BIT RACK SKINNED LEFT HAND, WHICH BLED A LITTLE AND CRACKED TWO KNUCLES. KNUCKLES WERE PLACED IN A CAST. LIGHT DUTY IS REQUESTED FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKS.
