Employee was climbing down from an articulated truck after checking a fire extinguisher and twisted their knee. As time progressed pain subsided and began to swell. Employee was advised to call Teledoc, they prescribed meds for swelling and the use of ice. No lost time.

TURNING CUTTING EDGE OF KAWASAKI LOADER USING A BAR TO HOLD BOLT IN PLACE WHILE OTHER EMPLOYEE WAS TAKING NUT OFF. BOLT JUMPED OUT, GLANCED OFF BAR AND STRUCK RIGHT HAND MIDDLE DIGIT RESULTING IN LACERATION THAT REQUIRED 5 STITCHES.

THE INJURED HAD3RAISED THE APRON,WHICH HOUSED THE CRUSHER IN ORDER TO GAIN ENTRY TO REPAIR THE CRUSHER.THIS APRON WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 500 LB.AND WORKS ON A FLOATATION BASIS.WHEN,HE EVIDENTALL Y LEANED ON THE3APRON IT FELL SEVERELY CUTTING AND CRUSHING HIS FINGER BETWEEN THE CRUSHER WALL AND THE ADJUSTMENT BOLT ON THE APRON.
