EMPLOYEE WAS PUSHING A PIECE OF ROCK AROUND IN THE MINER BOOM TO GET IT STARTED ON THROUGH THE CONVEYOR CHAIN INSTEAD THE CHAIN TURNED THE ROCK UP ON ITS END CATCHING EMPLOYEES FINGERS AGAINST AGAINST THE TOP. THREE OF HIS FINGER WERE CUT & HIS INDEX FINGER WAS BROKEN.

BOLTER OPER. WAS IN NO.3 HEADING. HE HAD INSTALLED ALL THE BOLTS EXCEPT FOR THE LAST BOLT NEAR THE FACE. WHEN HE STARTED DRILLING THE HOLE FOR THE LOST BOLT. A PIECE OF DRAW SLATE (2\SQ.X2" GH THICK) FELL HITTING HIM ON ANKLE. X-RAYS SHOWED HIS FOOT TO BE BRUISED.
