Employee was splicing conveyor belt with three other ees at Bellino Tunnel Belt. While positioning belt, ee was standing, slightly bent at waist pulling slack from belt and felt sharp pain in lower back, diagnosed as a strain.

Employee was replacing a 15 HP electric motor on the crusher feeder. As he tried to position the motor onto the mount, the motor shifted and caught his finger against the frame of the crusher feeder. Employee experienced a laceration on the small finger of his right hand.

THE PAIN DID NOT SUBSIDE, SO TH E EMPLOYEE WAS DRIVEN TO CALIFORNIA OCCUPATION PHYSICIANS IN MODESTO, CA. FURTHER EVALUATION REVEALED AN ACUTE SPRAIN ON HIS RIGHT SHOULDER.
