PIECE OF DRAW ROCK APPROX 70 POUNDS FELL BETWEEN THE ROOF BOLTS ON THE TRAVEL WAY APPROX 100 TO 150 FEET INSIDE WHILE THE SCOOP WAS IN MOTION HITTING THE OPERATOR ON THE BACK AND LEG.

EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING AS A PINNER HELPER. HE HAD SET 3 SAFETY JACKS AND WAS SETTING THE 4TH AND FINAL JACK WHEN A PIECE OF DRAW ROCK FELL STRIKING THE EMPLOYEE ON THE BACK WHILE HE WAS BENT OVE R. EMPLOYEE HAS BROKEN HIPS, PELVIS AND ANKLE AND ALSO INTERNAL INJURIES.
