THIS INJURY IS A REOCCURANCE OF THE INJURY REPORTED 12-7-01. EE WAS CLIMBING DOWN LADDER OF LOADER, HIS KNEE THE SAME RIGHT KNEE GAVE AWAY AND HE FELL TO THE GROUND.

INJURED AND 2 OTHER MEN WERE STANDING IN CRUSHER REMOVING BLOW BAR SO THEY COULD BE REPLACED. THE PRY BAR HE WAS USING SLIPPED, CAUSING HIM TO STUMBLE BACKWARDS ONTO CRUSHER - STILL STANDING. HIS SHOULDER BUMPED INTO WALL.

EE AND OTHER EE WERE ATTEMPTING TO DISLODGE A LARGE ROCK FROM THE HOPPER, AS EE STEPPED DOWN INTO IT. HE CAUGHT HIS BOOT TOE, TRIPPING HIM FORWARD AND TWISTING HIS RIGHT KNEE. ALL ELQUIPMENT W AS SHUT DOWN BEFORE THEY ENTERED THE HOPPER. 12-7-01 EE ASKED TO SEE A DR THE KNEE WAS STILL PAINFUL SWOLLEN AND BRUISED HE SAW DR BALL X RAYED THE KNEE TOLD HIM TO TAKE IT EASY AND COME BACK

SEVERAL WORKERS WERE REPLACING BLOW BARS IN A ROCK CRUSHER. THE OPERATION WAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE REPLACEMENT WAS BEING MADE. THE WORKERSHAD PERFORMED THE TASK SEVERAL TIMES & WERE HAVI NG NO PROBLEMS. THE PARTS INVOLVED ARE QUITE HEAVY & AKWARD. WHILE MANUEVERING THE PART, ONE OF THEM SIMPLY ROLLED ONTO INJURED'S FINGER, CRUSHING THE TIP.
