WHILE WITH THE PLANT OPERATOR AND HIS FATHER THE SIDE OF THE PIT THEY WERE STANDING BY COLLAPSED.THIS BURIED INJURED PERSON UNDER ABOUT 5 FFET OF GRAVEL.HE WAS TAKEN TO NORTH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN THE TWIN CITIES WHERE HE PASSED AWAY ON WEDNES DAY,AUGUST 25,1993 AT 2:00PM.

WHILE INSPECTING SOME GRAVEL MATERIAL ON THE PIT WALL,THE SIDE OF THE PIT COLLAPSED AND INJURED WAS KNOCKED DOWN BUT NOT BURIED.THE WALL WAS ABOUT 20 FT TALL AND HAD A NEAR VERTICAL SURFACE.TH E MATERIAL WAS GRAVEL WITH SOME CALY THROUGH OUT.THE WALL OF GRAVEL WAS GOING TO BE PROCESSED.
