EMPLOYEE WAS WELDING TRUCK BED WHEN HE REMOVED HIS WELDING HOOD AND SAFETY GLASSES TO CLEAN GLASSES THAT HAD BECOME FOGGED UP. THE METAL HE WAS WELDING STARTED TO COOL CAUSING THE SLAG COVERIN G THE WELD TO POP LOOSE, STRIKING EMPLOYE IN THE RIGHT EYE. EMPLOYEE WAS TAKEN TO DOCTOR AND GIVEN DROPS FOR EYE AND RELEASED FOR WORK.
