EMPLOYEE WAS NEAR A MAHCINE THAT HAS BEEN DOWN AND IN PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED AND MOVED. A CHAIN HOLDING AN ENGINE BROKE. EMPLOYEE STEPPED BACKWARDS AND PLACED ONE FOOT ON A 8'TO 10" LWOER LEVEL AND SHIFTED HIS WIEGHT (APPROX 300LBS) ONTO SINGLE ANKLE IT BROKE ANKLE AND HE FELL. BROKEN LEFT ANKLE.
