Miner was getting ready to clear a plugged conveyor when a 2 1/2 to 3" rock fell from an overhead conveyor and hit him in the right side of head, right behind his ear.

EMPLOYEE WAS STEPPING OFF THE EXCAVATOR WHILE ALSO SHUTTING THE DOOR TO THE EXCAVATOR. HE HAD HIS HAND IN THE DOOR JAM INSTEAD OF THE HANDRAIL. HIS RIGHT HAND WAS SLAMMED IN THE DOOR.
