EMPLOYEE WAS CU7TING A PIECE OF 4 INCH X 4 INCH LUMBER, USING A HAND HELD CIRCULAR SAW. HE HAD TO CUT TWICE TO SEPARATE PIECES. HE WAS HOLDING THE 4X4 WITH HIS LEFT HAND AND WAS MAKING 2ND CUT WHEN THE SAW C5UGHT, JUMPED AND ROTATING BLADE COME DOWN ON HIS LEFT THUMB AND FOREFINGER, SEVERLY MANGELING SAME.
