WORKERS HAD JUST MADE A LIFT (BLAST). AFTER SANDING WORK AREA, HE WAS DISCUSSING WITH FELLOW WORKERS WHERE TO ATTACH SAFETY HARNESSES AND INSTALL FENCING TO MAKE AREA SAFE. HE VOLUNTEERED TO G ET HARNESSES. AS HE TURNED, HIS FOOT SLIPPED. HIS ATTEMPT TO REGAIN BALANCE TOOK HIM OVER THE EDGEE. HE FELL APPROX. 8' HITTING LEFT FOOT ON SMALL BOULDER DISLOCATING A BONE IN FOOT.
