Struck by falling object

Employee was picking up a piece of metal with a spring loaded chop saw. The eye bolt holding the spring failed causing the saw frame to drop smashing the first 2 fingers of the right hand.

EE WAS GRINDING METAL PIPE AND CUT HIS HAND ON THE GRINDING WHEEL. HE CLEANED AND DRESSED THE WOUND BUT 4 DAYS LATER NTOCIED PAIN AND SWELLING DUE TO INFECTION. HE RECEIVED TREATMENT AT THE EM ENGENCY ROOM.
