Employee was loading stone into cutter with another emploee and got his right middle finger wedged. The employee noticed a laceration from where it was wedged. He then stopped working and came to the office, told his supervisor and was sent to Concentra.
Employee was using a shovel to spread stone dust on a section of the driveway for traction after a light snow and icing.
Employee was using a chipping hammer and a piece of rock hit his right eye.
Miner was on outlet table side of stone cutter when cut was initiated; outlet table moves in downward position. Miner placed hand prematurely to remove stone and when table was retracted middlefinger was pinched between top of stone and chisels.
Operating an air tool breaking stones, employee felt an object hit his eye. He was wearing safety glasses. Employee did not report to supervisor until Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006.
Boulder being set up for hand splitting fell over onto new miner's leg.
