WHILE BLASTING ROCK IN THE SKIDMORE ROCK TUNNEL, A SUPPORT PROP UNDER THE MAIN BRIDGE SET SHIFTED RESULTING IN A ROOF FALL WHICH CLOSED THE MAIN GANGWAY AND CONSTRICTED THE NORMAL VENTILATING CURRENT.

WHILE WORKING IN A LOW CLEARANCE AREA. EMPLOYEE STRUCK TOP OF HIS HEAD ON BEAM WHICH SNAPPED HIS NECK BACK. WHICH CAUSED SEVERE PAIN IN HI NECK AND SHOULDERS AWING WITH NUMBNESS IN HIS LEFT ARM AND FINGERS.

INJURED WAS INVOLVED IN LOADING OPERATIONS AT FACE BATTERY.WHILE PRYING A LARGE LUMP OF COAL WHICH HAD JAMMED IN THE DRAW HOLE,THE BAR HE WAS USING SLIPPED AND STRUCK HIM IN THE RIGHT LEG ABOV E THE KNEE.A DEEP PUNCTURE WOUND OF THE RIGHT LEG RESULTED.
