Employee was on the rock splitter running the controls, when employee smashed a finger between the teeth of the splitter and the rock the employee was splitting.

While loading a pallet of split stone, the injured employee had their right pinky finger smashed when another employee threw a rock into the pallet.

The Injured employee had ring finger on left hand smashed between 2 small rocks on the rollers leading to the rock splitter. The injured employee was sent to the clinic where they received 2 stitches, and on the following day underwent outpatient surgery to repair two ligaments in the finger. The injured employee is awaiting a doctors return to work orders.
