E.E. & S. AUGER MINING INC · Unclassified, insufficient data

EE worked a full day on job, did not say anything to crew members about getting hurt. When they arrived back to the shop after work he left for the day, never saying anything about hurting. About 9:00 p.m. that evening he called owner to say that he was going to the hospital because he said he had a bone sticking out of his hip. When asked what he did he said he did not know.

EE went to get wood block from the bed of the pickup truck. He reached over the tailgate to pick up the block and pulled something in his right shoulder.

EE was standing beside the auger sled as he and another helper was putting an auger back onto the auger sled when the auger slipped and hit him on the knee and the right foot.
