Employee was welding on 02/11/2026 and felt a little splinter of metal bothering EE's finger but initially did not seek treatment. The following day EE decided to seek treatment as it was still bothering EE's finger.

We sent EE to the clinic and it was determined to be hives. We are still waiting for the clinic physician to notify us whether the hives were a result of heat from the sun or another source. EE was given RX topical cream.

The condition was reported as workers comp to the insurance co, and was denied. However, as a result of a benefit dispute, the initial decision was reversed on 5/30/13 and is now being considered a work related injury.
While chiseling stone a small piece of rock flew up under his safety glasses and into his left eye. This did not bother him at the time and he was initially unaware until he got home that night and his eye was irritated. He notified the employer the next day, 10/5 and was sent to a clinic where he was given eye drops. Returned to work immediately with no further issues.
