Possible workplace transmission of COVID. Employee #1 was being in person trained as an operator. Employee #1 received a call from a friend that is COVID positive. Employee #2 was identified as a close contact (per CDC definition) and was quarantined. COVID testing took place and employee #2 was COVID positive.

Loader operator was going to get a bucket of pit run to feed into the plant. As he lowered his bucket to the ground while proceeding forward he hit something solid with the front of the loader bucket stopping him abruptly.

EE WAS USING HIS LOADER TO FILL A TRUCK WITH RECYCLED ASPHALT FROM A STOCKPILE THAT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THE MATERIAL WAS VERY HARD AND COMPACTED. WHEN IT DID BREAK LOOS E, THE LOADER LURCHED FORWARD AND THE EE SUFFERED AN INJURY TO HIS BACK.
