Employee was kneeling to lift a wooden block (dimensions=12""x12""x2'). The lifting & twisting caused severe back strain, leading him to be taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. Unknown if proper lifting technique was used or if other methods were available to lift block. Worker was diagnosed with severe back strain and given medication for his injuries.
