VICTIM WAS OPERATING A TWIN-HEADED ROOF BOLTER WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED. WHILE DRILLING A HOLE FOR A ROOF BOLT, A PIECE OF SHALE DISLODGED FROM THE ROOF AND STRUCK HIM ON THE SMALL FINGER OF THE RIGHT HAND. THE RESULTING INJURY INCLUDED A LACERATION ON THE SMALL FINGER.
