Casella Construction Inc. · Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

EE was using an 8' hand bar to pry and pick at some frozen rock and dirt on the 54' roller cone catwalk. EE said when it happened, EE felt a little pinch in the shoulder. EE continued to work. As time went on it seemed to get worse. Today Monday 1/15/2024 EE reported can barely pick it up, and informed Casella that EE had gone to the doctor over the weekend on 1/13/24.

Casella Construction Inc. · Struck against stationary object

While attempting to free a piece of stuck cardboard from a conveyor the employee held on with their hands and attempted to jump up and dislodge it with their feet. Employee pulled themselves forward and stomped down hitting their left shin and knee against a steel beam.

Casella Construction Inc. · Struck by rolling or sliding object

While relacing a conveyor belt, pulled the conveyor together and it slid onto the employee's left leg resulting in a bruise. In order to be safe, we sent the employee to medical to be evaluated for further injury. No additional injury was reported and the employee was informed to ice and rest. Employee was ordered to continue working with modification for 7 days.
