THE OPERATOR OF AN H-65 DEMAG EXCAVATOR WAS BEING DIRECTED INTO A MECHANIC'S SHED WHEN HE TRIED TO GET THE ATTENTION OF THE PERSON DIRECTING HIM, THE CONTRACTOR EE. THE OPERATOR LEANED OUT OF THE OPERATOR'S CAB TO TALK TO EE WHEN THE OPERATOR'S SWING CONTROL LEVER WAS ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED, CAUSING THE MACHINE TO SWING, HITTING EE ON THE LEG.

AFTER THE BALST, EE REMOVED HIS HARD HAT TO ENTE VEHICLE & WAS STRUCK ON THE FOREHEAD BY ASMALL STONE, LEAVING A CUT ON HEAD ABOVE HIS RIGHT EYE.
