EE WAS ENGAGED IN DRILLING HOLES WITH SINKER DRILL WHEN THE DRILL STEEL BROKE THE WEIGHT OF THE DRILL CAUSE THE EE TO LARGE FORWARD STRIKING THE BROKEN STEEL WITH HIS RIGHT LEG.

EMPLOYEE WAS SITTING INT EH CAB OF A 992 B CAT FRONT END LOADER. A MECHANIC WAS DOING SOME REPAIR WORK ON THE FORKS OF THE MACHINE WITH A WELDER. THE EMPLOYEE WATCHED THE WELDING ARC WHILE R EPAIRS WERE BEING DONE, AND RECEIVED BURNS TO BOTH EYES. INSTRUCTED EMPLOYEE ON PROPER PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW WHEN WORKING AROUND SOMEONE WELDING.
