McMurry Ready Mix · Fall from ladders

IE was working off of ladder trying to put a pin in a belt, when IE fell off the ladder. Injured worker estimates IE fell 6 feet. Nearby worker said EE looked over and IE was standing on the top rung of ladder, EE went to put what was in hands down to go help and when EE looked back up IE had fell off the ladder. Ladder measured 7 1/2 feet.

McMurry Ready Mix · Struck by... (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Miner was walking backwards while pulling a wheeled oxy-acetelyne welding cart on soft/sandy ground. The cart wheels hung up in a soft spot. The momentum of the cart caused a bottle regulator to strike the miner in the chest as the miner continued to pull the cart. A bruised sternum resulted.
