THE LOAD OPERATOR HAD BEEN FEEDING A CRUSHER FROM A POOR ROCK PILE WHEN HE NOTICED A PIECE OF DRILL STEEL STICKING UP IN AN AREA WHERE IT COULD PUNCTURE A LOADER TIRE. HE GOT OUT OF HIS LOADER TO THROW THE IRON OFF TO THE SIDE WHEN A SMALL ROCK BOUNCHED DOWN THE PILE, ROLLED OUT TO WHERE HE WAS STANDING, BOUNCED UP AND HIT HIM IN THE BACK OF HIS RIGHT LEG.
