MINER WAS HELPING ANOTHER MINER DRILL, USING A GD-83 JACKLEG DRILL. HE GOT PART OF HIS HAND CAUGHT IN A PINCHPOINT AND THEN CUT. THE CUT, LEFT HAND, JUST BELOW THE KNUCKLE OF HIS SMALL FINGER. L FINGER.

EE MINER, WAS ROCKBOLTING (SPLIT SET) HAULAGE WAY (RIB), WHEN GD JACKLEG DRILL (HAMMER) FOLDED DOWN AND SMASHED RING FINGER ON LEFT HAND. CAUSING A BROKEN BONE AND LACERATION THAT NEEDED STITC HES AND SPLINT.

MINER WAS TRYING TO PULL A PIECE OF BROKEN COLLAR PIPE OUT OF A DRILL HOLE. HE FORCEFULLY PULLED ON THE PVC PIPE WHEN IT SUDDENLY BROKE LOOSE. HIS HANDS CAME SWINGING BACK AND HIS LEFT HAND ST RUCK A SHARP ROCK AND WAS CUT. THE CUT, NEAR THE KNUCKLE OF HIS SMALL FINGER WAS CUT. THE CUT REQUIRED TWO STITCHES.

HE WAS ASSISTING BULL GANG EMPLOYEES WITH LOWER SERVICE UTILITIES WHEN HE BEGAN TO CLIMB DOWN FROM SCISSOR TRUCK BED, ONE MINER TOLD THE OTHER TO LOWER THE BED. HIS LEFT FOOT WAS POSITIONED ON THE REAR BUMPER WHEN THE SCISSOR WAS LOWERED TO THE BOTTOM. THERE ARE TWO PIECES OF ANKLE IRON WEDL ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCISSOR BED AND ONE CAME DOWN TO REST ON HIS FOOT. NO PUNCTURE OR OPEN

INJURED SURFACE EMPLOYEE WAS DUMPING ON TRASH CAN INTO ANOTHER WHEN A CLOUD OF DUST CAME UP- HE RUBBED HIS EYE WITH DIRTY FINGERS AND SCRATCH? HIS LEFT EYE AND EMBEDED A VERY SMALL METAL SLIV ER IN EYE. HE DIDN'T REPORT ACCIDENT UNTIL TUES 8-16-94. I SENT HIM TO EYE DR. FOR AN EXAM, THE EYE DR. SCRAPED EYE AND GAVE HIM SOME EYE DROPS.
