While throwing out shards of metal a piece of metal got caught on the employee's glove, ripping it causing a small piece of metal to become embedded in employee's hand

Employee was attempting to place take-up bearing onto shaft then the bearing slipped and pinned miner's middle finger between concrete floor and bearing resulting in a fracture of the tip of the miner's middle finger. No surgery necessary, light duty accommodated.
