EE was clearing a chute over the feeder. When the material broke loose, the bar EE was using was forced up against an I-beam crushing EE's left thumb.

The employee was using a retractable utility knife to cut blast hole tubing. Employee received a laceration with a clean blade to the right lower knee. Laceration is superficial, 1.5 cm x 0.5 cm. Skin closed with 5 sutures, interrupted simple sutures.

The employee was carrying a large piece of metal. While walking towards the work area, the employee's hand bumped a nearby wall. The impact jarred the piece of metal from their grip causing the metal to fall and impact the top of their right boot. The employee reported the accident promptly, but did not seek medical attention until 1-28-19.

SENT TO DR - BACK AT 11:30 AM. SAYS DR REMOVED SMALL PIECE OF METAL. EE REPORTS HE THOUGHT HE ONLY HAD DUST IN HIS EYE ON THURS. REPORTS HE WAS WEARING SAFETY GLASSES.
