Helvetia Coal Company · Fall onto or against objects

EE and coworker were standing in sludge boat, pulling boat to shore to exit the pond. EE lost balance and slipped on bottom of boat, striking right side on boat seat base. EE received pain relievers and muscle relaxers from family physician on 8/1/08.

Employee was starting lawn mower when pull cord slipped from right hand and struck the base of left thumb which was holding the handle. Employee continued working normal shifts until 8/21/07 at which time he had x-rays taken. X-rays were negative, however, doctor placed employee on restricted duty until 8/25/07.
