THE EMPLOYEE WA8 MOVING AN AUGER SECTION WITH A BOOM AND WAS FASTENING A HOOK INTO THE HANDLE OF THE AUGER SECTION.WHEN HE APPLIED TENSION TO THE CABLE,THE HOOK AND COUNTERWEIGHT PINNED THE T HUMB OF HIS LEF7 HAND BETWEEN THE HOOK HANDLE AND THE EDGE OF THE SPIRAL FLIGHTING OF THE AUGER SECTION,SEVERELY LACERATING THE LEFT THUMB AT THE FIRST KNUCKLE AND FRACTURING THE THUMB BONE.
