Employee was opening a guard to access a tail pulley on a stopped belt. The hinged guard was stuck shut. As he was pulling on it to free guard it sprung open and struck him in the mouth, damaging 4 teeth.

IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT HE REST FR A FEW DAYS AND RETURN TO WORK. HE SOUGHT A SECOND OPINION WHO LOOKED AT THE XRAYS AND DETERMINE A STRAINED LIGAMENT, NOW THEY ARE INDICATING A BROKEN ANKLE.
