EMPLOYEE WAS ENTERING HOLD OF DREDGE TO START THE ENGINES. HE WAS CARRYING A CAN OF STARTING FLUID. AS HE WENT AROUND THE 3306 ENGINE, THE CAN OF STARTING FLUID ACCIDENTLY TOUCHED THE TERMINAL S OF THE STARTER SHORTING THEM OUT. THE RESULTING SPARK BURNED A HOLE IN THE CAN AND IGNITED THE ESCAPING FLUID BURNING HIM.

HE THEN PROCEEDED TO LOAD LIFTING CHAIN OV ER RAKE, RAKE WAS SITTING IN LOOSE SAND & GRAVEL. APPARENTLY WEIGHT OF CHAIN CAUSED IT TO ROCK FORWARD PINNING EMPL BETWEEN LOADER BUCKET & RAKE. EMPL RECEIVED BROKN RIBS & BRUISED ABDOMENT
