Striking a piece of metal with a hammer, small shard of steel flew off and struck the miner in the knee. Operator needed surgery to remove the piece of steel and four stitches to close the wound.

SPROCKET NEEDS T O BE MOVING IN ORDER TO PULL CHAIN THROUGH OEPRATOR HAD ONE HAND ON CONTROLS ONE HAND PULLING CHAIN HAND GOT CAUGHT IN SPROCKET BROKE FOUR FINGERS DAMAGED LIGAMENTS ETC. ONE FINGER LOST.
